What is IUPAC and what does it do?
IUPAC, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, is a
worldwide organization composed of national chemical societies from
44 countries. IUPAC is recognized as the world authority on chemical
nomenclature, terminology, standardized methods for measurement, atomic
weights and many other critically evaluated data.

IUPAC does not offer research grants, but its scientific activities
are conducted by a project-driven system. For informations about the

IUPAC sponsors approximately 30 international symposia and conferences
each year, and in some cases, provides financial support >link to
more information
IUPAC does not provide funding for scientists to attend conferences.
If funding for scientists to attend conferences is available, it is
typically offered through the organizers. Contact information may be

IUPAC awards a Prize for Young Chemists for the most outstanding Ph.D.

How can I be involved?
