16th International Conference on Physical Organic Chemistry: Structure
and Mechanism in Organic Chemistry, 4-9 August 2002, San Diego, California,
USA
> Back to Calendar
This meeting will offer a forum for researchers to present and discuss
results in modern physical organic chemistry, and to demonstrate the
strength, diversity, and applicability of research in the relationship
between molecular structure and chemical reactivity. Plenary lectures
will address coordination complexes, rotaxanes, small molecule synthesis,
strained rings, self-assembly, nucleotide chemistry, molecular orbital
theory, silicon chemistry, photochemistry, molecular machines, dendrimers,
asymmetric synthesis, stereoselectivity, stereochemistry, conformational
analysis, enantioselectivity, gas-phase ion chemistry, catalysis, macromolecular
design, biomolecular mechanisms, mesoscale fabrication, materials, surface
chemistry, isotope effects, and enzyme mechanisms. Approximately 350
scientific participants from around the world are expected to attend
this conference.
