11. FELLOWS AND AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS
The Bureau noted that the Fellows program seems to have gotten
off to a very successful start. There was concern expressed that
if a Fellow returned to an active rôle in IUPAC and then
returned to Fellow status, not receiving CI free again
could be construed negatively. It was noted that the current
policy on free distribution of CI could be changed by
the Bureau. The President asked the Executive Director to generate
some data on the financial consequences of distributing CI.
