COMMISSION ON AGROCHEMICALS AND THE ENVIRONMENT (VI.4)
Number: 640/40/98
Title: Mass Spectrometric Techniques for Multi-Residue Monitoring
of Pesticides in Food and Animal Feedstuffs
Coordinator(s): S.
Reynolds
Completion Date: 1999 - project terminated
Objective:
Objective is to describe how the various forms of low resolution mass
spectrometry, when linked with GC or LC, can be best utilized to generate
reliable residue data for a wide variety of food and pesticide combinations.
A harmonized approach to multiresidue analysis and recommended guidelines
for analytical quality control will be developed. Project will be of
assistance to laboratories and national regulatory bodies involved with
enforcement of CODEX or national MRL's and conduct of consumer dietary
risk assessments.
Progress:
Advanced draft available. A revised draft will be available for review
during early 1999, and project conclusions and recommendations will
be reviewed by the Commission on Agrochemicals and the Environment at
the Berlin General Assembly during August, 1999. The project will be
completed by the end of 1999 and a final report prepared for publication
in PAC. (November, 1998)
