From 6-10 April 2001, a workshop was held in Kunming, China. The main topic was the discussion of the draft recommendation developed at the Bangkok workshop (see project 3/1/99 and Chem Int. 22(3), May 2000 for workshop report).

This project was presented at a poster session at the IUPAC Congress/GA July 2001

The views of the Chinese scientific experts and governmental participants were useful in introducing the necessary modifications in the recommendations in order to make them suitable for broader application.

Project completed - IUPAC Technical Report published in Pure Appl. Chem. Vol. 74(4), 697-702, 2002, and featured in Chem. Int. Sep.2002, p. 23
