Femtochemistry. Past, present, and future*

Abstract: This review highlights, with a historical perspective,
the development of the field, with focus on the evolution since its
birth in 1987, the scope of applications in present-time research, and
some future developments in femtochemistry and the sibling field, femtobiology.
