Accommodation

Hotel Meliá, Al. Almeida Gonçalves, 20, 3000-059 Coimbra, (4 star), where the Workshop will be held, will give the special prices, including breakfast, of 9500 PTE (single room) and 10500 PTE (double room — double bed or 2 single beds).

Reservations should be made directly to the hotel (Tel: +351-239-480800, FAX: +351-239-484300) with the indication: "Participant in IUPAC Environment Workshop".

Registration Desk
The Registration Desk will be located at Hotel Meliá and will be open from 13.30 on Thursday 5^th April onwards.

Invitation
An official letter of invitation to attend the meeting will be forwarded to delegates who need assistance in obtaining visa etc. This invitation does not imply any financial or other obligations on the part of the IUPAC Workshop.

Electricity
The electric current in Portugal is 220 Volts, 50 Hz. Sockets take standard Euro plugs.

Insurance
The local Organizing Committee will make every effort to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, but it cannot accept responsibility for any personal accident or loss or damage to private property of participants and accompanying guests, which may occur either during or indirectly arise from the Workshop. It is recommended that delegates consult their travel agents about insurance.
